Truth to be told..most of us are working in an office and they don’t have enough movement for their body. Long sitting and the lack of movement makes us immobile and stiff permanently. Most affected of this are the hips, the spine and the shoulder joints, which are very important for us in our everyday life and in sport.
Therefore stretching is very effective and important for maintaining the performance of our muscles and joints so it should be an integral part of any training to prevent muscle shortening and movement impairment.
Stretching depends on the optimum mobility and not to the maximum of it, you have reached the optimal stretched position if you feel a slight stretch of the muscle area you want to stretch. It really doesn't matter how young or old, sporty or unsportable, big or small someone is. Everyone should stretch the individual lots of their body. It’s very good for our tendons and ligaments and also there is no risk of overexerting or injuring because you do it in your own pace.
If you keep doing it, it will have a harmonising effect on your body and mind. 🤍
